LES BORDES LOOKS TO THE FUTURE WITH NEW NON-EQUITY FEE MEMBERSHIPS

Les Bordes, globally recognised as being one of the world’s most prestigious golf clubs, is providing an opportunity for younger golfers to become a part of its exclusive golf family with the launch of a new ‘Fee Membership’ category.

Aimed primarily at single-figure golfers from the ages of 25 to 45, the non-equity memberships will allow applicants to enjoy all the playing privileges of a debenture member at the renowned 46-hole French venue, which sits in the secluded environment of the Loire Valley’s Sologne Forest and features the acclaimed Old and New courses.

Available on a limited basis, the new category has been created in response to growing demand from existing members for family and friends to enjoy the private members’ club experience, with Les Bordes’ full debenture membership category approaching capacity and the club eager to attract a younger audience. Pricing for the ‘Fee Membership’ will be in line with the premium clubs around Paris and more details on the price structure and benefits are available upon application.

Located 90 minutes south of the French capital, Les Bordes aims to deliver the best combined 46 holes of golf in continental Europe. World number one Scottie Scheffler recently spent a week relaxing at Les Bordes putting the finishing touches to his game on his way to gold-medal glory at this summer’s Paris Olympics.

The original Old Course, designed by legendary architect Robert Von Hagge, is widely regarded as one of Europe’s masterpieces, while the New Course opened in 2021 and was created by globally acclaimed American architect Gil Hanse. The enticing 36-hole combination is bolstered by a 10-hole short course – the Wild Piglet – also designed by Hanse.

Neighbouring the historic village of Beaugency, Les Bordes is spread across 1,400 acres of the magnificent Loire Valley and is located in the UNESCO World Heritage region renowned for historic chateaux, medieval towns, fine wines, great food and unspoiled landscapes.

The estate offers understated luxury, leisure and sport in a unique setting blessed with glimpses of red deer, wild boar, sweeping lakes and natural habitats. On-site amenities include natural swimming lakes and pools, go-karting, archery, an equestrian centre, tennis, Padel, a pop-up Spa, sports pitch and biking and walking trails, with accommodation available in on-site golf cottages or one of the estate’s substantial residential homes.
