OGIO PARTNERS WITH KEVIN PIETERSEN AND SORAI IN FIGHT TO SAVE THE RHINO

OGIO Europe has announced a new partnership with cricket legend Kevin Pietersen and social enterprise Save Our Rhinos Africa India (SORAI) – a collaboration that will see the brand support the fight against illegal wildlife trade and poaching.

Founded by Pietersen in 2018, SORAI supports and brings attention to grassroots organisations that rescue abandoned, injured and orphaned endangered species in Africa and India.

As part of the long-term partnership – which sees OGIO become the exclusive global lifestyle and golf bag partner for SORAI – the bag designer and manufacturer will gift backpack products to rangers in South African game reserves linked to SORAI. The brand will also work closely with Pietersen to raise awareness of the importance of these animals and will collaborate on wider content with the former England cricketer becoming an OGIO ambassador.

Pietersen said: “I am delighted to be working alongside OGIO, not only as an ambassador for the brand’s great products, but also alongside SORAI as we continue to help fight against poaching and illegal wildlife trade.

“Collaborating with some of the world’s best-loved brands on our projects and products means we can ensure that Africa and India’s keystone species survive and thrive in the wild.”

Michael Birch, head of OGIO Europe, said: “We are extremely excited to officially begin our partnership with SORAI and Kevin Pietersen.

“Kevin’s passion for golf makes him an ideal ambassador for the OGIO brand, and we cannot wait to work with him and SORAI to make a real difference to the causes SORAI supports.”

SORAI x OGIO branded Renegade Pro bags in woodcut polka are available to purchase on the OGIO and SORAI websites, with sales helping fund the critical conservation work being undertaken against poaching and wildlife trade at grassroots level in Africa and India. Further new products will be launching in 2025.
