TRILBY TOUR ANNOUNCES INDUSTRY-LEADING PARTNERS FOR 2023 SEASON

The Trilby Tour, the UK’s favourite amateur golf competition, has announced two market-leading sponsors ahead of its 2023 tee-off.

Golf trolley manufacturer Motocaddy and leading golf apparel brand, Glenmuir, will be supporting the tournament series, which last year saw men and women compete against each other for the first time. The partner brands will also contribute to a sparkling list of prizes on offer.

As part of the Trilby Tour experience, competitors will don Glenmuir shirts for their respective qualifying events, as well as for the Grand Final at Dundonald Links on September 25.

Ashley Pheasant, Head of Golf for Darwin Escapes, said: “We are thankful to our partners for helping make the Trilby Tour the most popular amateur golf event in the UK, helping us continue to offer world-class prizes and attract the very best amateur players from across the country.”

Meanwhile, renowned golf trolley and accessory brand Motocaddy is looking forward to supporting the event again in 2023.

"We are delighted to be partnering with the Trilby Tour following a successful first year back for the brand," said Motocaddy Marketing Director, Oliver Churcher.

"We attended several events last year and it was a fun and competitive atmosphere, which is the perfect backdrop for any amateur tour. It was also great to see so many Motocaddy trolleys out on the course and we look forward to an engaging series of events in 2023" he added.

Mikhel Ruia, Managing Director of Glenmuir & Sunderland of Scotland, said: “The team at Darwin Escapes have been great partners of Glenmuir and Sunderland of Scotland for many years. We are delighted to be extending our relationship helping them make a great success of the iconic Trilby Tour.

“The Trilby Tour is all about amateur golfers coming together for the love of the game. That is exactly the spirit of Glenmuir and we are excited to continue working with Darwin Escapes and The Trilby Tour.”

The 2023 Trilby Tour begins with the Championship of Ayrshire at Dundonald Links on June 12, before moving south with the Championship of Yorkshire at Kilnwick Percy Resort & Golf Club on July 10 and the Championship of Oxfordshire at The Springs Resort & Golf Club on July 17.

Fifteen golfers from each event will progress to the Grand Final for a chance to follow in the footsteps of last year’s winner, Andrew Corssen.

Each event will be brought to viewers thanks to sports streaming service Live Sport Now, with detailed coverage across Facebook and YouTube that promises to let viewers follow the action more closely than ever.
