Sal Verde, La Hacienda Links Golf Resort’s new beach bar and restaurant, is ready to provide golfers with an unforgettable gastronomic experience as it opens this summer in line with the opening of the redesigned Links golf course.
Executive chef, Manuel Berganza, the youngest Spanish chef to have been awarded a Michelin Star outside of Spain, has designed a creative menu based on local Andalusian produce with a touch of inspiration from other Mediterranean cuisines, with an overall aim of providing a premium culinary offering to both tourists and locals living on the coast of Cadiz.
Sal Verde is split into two separate spaces – Sal Verde Arena Bar and Sal Verde Restaurante. The restaurant offers a spacious dining room and a spectacular open terrace with stunning views over the golf courses, the Mediterranean and Strait of Gibraltar.
Sal Verde Arena Bar will offer an extension of Berganza’s cuisine, yet with more casual options to be enjoyed by the beach.
Berganza was awarded his prestigious Michelin Star in 2014 thanks to his work at New York-based Andanada 141 – a fun, Spanish tapas restaurant in the heart of Manhattan. More recently, he has been in charge of Azotea Grupo’s restaurants in Madrid (La Azotea del Círculo, Picalagartos Sky Bar & Restaurant and Azotea Forus Barceló), as well as El Cuartel del Mar in Chiclana de la Frontera and Justa Rufina Taste & Sky in Seville.
An array of cocktails will also be on offer thanks to Luca Anastasio, head of bars and mixology, who is a three-time winner of World Class Diageo Spain with 18 years’ experience which has made him a world-renowned mixologist. The menu features his well-known Señorita Margarita (Don Julio Blanco tequila, organic agave syrup, lime juice and Tajín seasoning) and the Exoticolada (Aged Cacique Rum, vanilla syrup, coconut cream, lime juice, pineapple and passion fruit juice).
Sal Verde is another exciting addition to the resort which is midway through its elevation to a luxury golf destination and flagship 36-hole golf resort in southern Europe.
Its new Links Course is opening on Friday, July 15, 2022, following a complete transformation, redesign and reconfiguration from highly-regarded course architect, Kurtis Bowman.
