PIN VISION PARTNERS WITH HOWDIDIDO AND INTELLIGENTGOLF TO DELIVER ENHANCED DIGITAL EXPERIENCE FOR CLUBS AND GOLFERS

Pin Vision has teamed up with HowDidiDo.com (HDiD) and intelligentgolf to form a new strategic partnership which will create a fully comprehensive digital platform for golfers and golf clubs alike.

The collaboration brings HowDidiDo and intelligentgolf's scoring and competition management together with Pin Vision's GPS, course mapping and pace of play technology, delivering a joined-up experience for golfers and a smarter operational tool for clubs. Golfers can now score a competition or general play round entirely within the member app, with GPS distances and pin positions available in the same place, removing the need to switch tools mid-round.

Through the integration, golfers using the HowDidiDo and intelligentgolf apps will be able to access Pin Vision's industry-leading GPS distances, calculated using live pin positions updated by greenkeeping staff every time a hole location is changed. Alongside accurate yardages to the flag, players will also have access to hazard distances, digital scorecards, live pace-of-play information, club notifications and course updates, all within a single platform.

For golf clubs, the integration delivers a comprehensive operational toolkit. Greenkeeping teams can update daily pin positions in real time, while managers can visualise history and heatmap of pin placements, monitor pace of play, communicate directly with golfers on the course, send important notifications and gain valuable insight into course activity.

Luigi Goria, co-founder and COO of Pin Vision, said: “From the beginning, our ambition has been to develop technology that genuinely improves the golfing experience for players while giving clubs practical tools to manage their courses more effectively. This partnership with HowDidiDo and intelligentgolf allows us to place those capabilities into the hands of an even larger golfing audience.

“Whether it's our live GPS distances, interactive course discovery, pace-of-play management or direct communication between clubs and golfers, by bringing the full Pin Vision platform into HowDidiDo and intelligentgolf, we're able to get these capabilities into golfers' and clubs' hands faster than either of us could alone.”

Vanessa Machin, managing director of ClearCourse Sports & Leisure, the owner of HowDidiDo and intelligentgolf, said: “For us, this is about giving clubs one less thing to manage and members a better experience on the course.

“Pin Vision's GPS and pace of play data slots straight into the scoring experience members already use through HowDidiDo and intelligentgolf, so there's no extra app to open and no extra system for club staff to run. It's a small change that makes a real difference to the experience, which is front of mind as we continue building an app that keeps pace with what clubs and members actually need.”
