NEW IMAGES SHOW FULL SCALE OF BASINGSTOKE GOLF CLUB DEVELOPMENT
New imagery has painted Basingstoke Golf Club in a stunning new light as the £20m transformation of one of English golf’s most exciting rising stars continues.
The par-72 course, which will be officially inaugurated in May 2026, is the centrepiece of an ambitious relocation and redevelopment project that also includes a new clubhouse packed with amenities as well as reimagined branding.
Leading golf photographer James Hogg visited this summer and spent two days shooting the new-look course with a specialised drone, producing a mixture of still images and drone footage that shows the layout in all its glory.
David Green, general manager at Basingstoke Golf Club, said: “We are delighted with James’ new images, which we really feel do justice to both the natural beauty of the course and the high standards our greenkeeping team maintain it to.
“These images capture exactly why we are so proud of the course and are a fantastic advertisement for the golfing experience on offer here at Basingstoke Golf Club.
Hogg, who will return for another photoshoot following the course’s official inauguration next spring, added: “It was a pleasure to photograph the new course at Basingstoke and what a fantastic experience, especially during golden hour.
“The vibrant colours, the beautiful contrasts between the fescue and the greens, and the stunning bunker design all highlight just how special this renovation is. The clubhouse beautifully combines modern style with the natural surroundings, showing that no detail has been overlooked. I'm eager to return and experience the brand-new, state-of-the-art driving range once complete.”
To warm up before their round, members and guests will be able to enjoy a state-of-the-art short-game practice area from this month, while a new Trackman driving range is set to open early next year.
Basingstoke Golf Club has been one of the most high-profile and eye-catching developing golf venues of the 2020s, relocating to a new site in the village of Dummer and opening a Weller Designs layout to widespread acclaim.
