At Apes Hill Barbados, the beauty of the Caribbean and the luxury of an active lifestyle isn’t restricted to the traditional winter season. With world-class golf, a vibrant and welcoming community, endless activities and new for summer 2025, ultra-luxury, four-bedroom Hilltop Villas, with single-story open plan design, private pool and alluring westerly sea views, there's so much to experience all year round.

1. Cross-generational fun

Each season, the team at Apes Hill creates a jam-packed activity schedule to entertain younger guests. From creative tie-dye workshops to kite-making, Padel tournaments and sport classes, every moment is designed to dazzle children.

Multi-generational families find Apes Hill particularly appealing with a range of family-friendly facilities providing exciting opportunities for all ages including the newly-opened 9-hole Little Apes course, Padel and traditional tennis courts, hiking and nature trails and on-site fishing experiences. 2. The wonder of wellbeing

Complementing Apes Hill’s family offerings is an extensive and immersive series of year-round wellbeing activities and workshops. The thoughtfully curated programmes entice Apes Hill residents and guests to embark on a personalised wellbeing journey, blending movement and creativity with authentic and cultural experiences for which the destination is known.

Events and activities at the resort throughout the year also bring together island culture and holistic wellness, immersing members and guests in the natural surroundings of the Apes Hill estate. From golf’s globally renowned Legends Tour tournament hosted by Ian Woosnam at Apes Hill to nature trails, sunrise yoga, Padel lessons across the eight courts, skill-building sessions like free-diving, members and guests have plenty of opportunities to explore new passions and learn novel ways to create positive wellness habits.

3. World-class golf

Whatever the season, guests and residents are invited to take advantage of Apes Hill’s 18-hole par-71, world-class golf course designed by the late US golf course architect, Ron Kirby. Cited as a ‘must-play’ venue with stunning views over the Caribbean Sea to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east, the layout is perched on one of the highest points of Barbados 1,000ft above sea level and is the most elevated golf experience on the island.

Set within 475 acres of natural, unspoilt terrain where large troops of Barbados green monkeys roam, the resort also offers a state-of-the-art Performance Centre and floodlit driving range, while a family friendly nine-hole par-3 golf course, Little Apes also mean the entire family can enjoy some tee time.

4. Discover nature

Sustainability is a way of life at Apes Hill throughout the year. With 60 acres dedicated to farming livestock, 40 beehives, vegetable gardens, and 17 acres for fruit trees, it is committed to preserving biodiversity. Planting passion fruit, lime trees, and other native plants helps reinforce a vibrant ecosystem. An abundant organic farm provides fresh produce used in the first-class cuisine served at Apes Hill with its farm producing fresh herbs, edible flowers, banana, breadfruit trees and honey to provide for the on-site restaurants at the 20th Hole and Noisy Cricket, which pride themselves on a farm-to-fork menu.

5. Explore the island

Beyond the resort, guests and residents will find plenty of activities fit for all ages, and a range of travel options for getting around making it ideal for exploring. Coco Hill, Welchman Hall Gully, Hunte’s or Andromeda Gardens and the Flower Forest are perfect for those in search of nature.  Those in search of Barbados’ rich culture can take a one-of-a-kind island adventure exploring quaint island villages and off the beaten path views with the island’s renowned guide, Ronnie Carrington.

For those in search of the beach, Apes Hill’s Beach Club at 1-11 East in Speightstown is only a short shuttle ride away, providing an ideal location to soak up the sun, enjoy a swim in the warm waters of the Caribbean and relax with a rum cocktail. Here, visitors can explore the historic town and Arlington House Museum before taking a drive over to the east coast through the hills of St Andrew.

For festivals lovers there’s again something for all the family. The Barbados Crop Over Festival is a vibrant celebration that takes place annually in late July or early August, marking the end of the sugar cane harvest. It's a long-standing tradition with roots dating back to the 17th century. The festival is known for its lively street parades, music, and cultural events, culminating in the Grand Kadooment, the biggest event of the festival, where children get to join in the fun and parade the island.
