SEED COMPLETES HAT-TRICK OF GOLF DIGEST HOT LIST INCLUSIONS
Seed Golf has shone for a third consecutive year on Golf Digest’s annual Hot List, ‘The best new golf balls of 2025’, with the recently upgraded SD-05 awarded coveted Gold status.
Released in February, the second generation SD-05 – known as ‘The Pro Feel’ – is the Irish manufacturer’s softest ever ball, characterised by “a faster ball speed and more iron spin than ever before”.
The SD-05 is the least expensive urethane ball on this year’s Hot List, in character for a brand that has earned a reputation for consistently punching above its weight despite lower prices than other premium golf balls.
Golf Digest’s annual list is arguably the game’s leading authority on the outstanding balls the market has to offer, with top brands from across the world thoroughly tested and expert-reviewed before they are selected.
Dean Klatt, founder and CEO of Seed Golf, said: “From the early days of Seed, we set out to create a ball that was worthy of being included on a list as respected as this one without charging the everyday golfer as much as other manufacturers - so to now see a fourth different Seed ball earn a spot on the list is a real honour.
“The SD-05 is our softest ball ever and we’ve been thrilled with the response from golfers and the media alike since we upgraded the design earlier this year.”
Founded in 2017, Seed Golf first broke onto Golf Digest’s prestigious list with the flagship SD-01 in 2023, before the third-generation SD-02 and SD-17 were both included last year.
The Carlow-based brand sells a diverse range of premium balls, tees, apparel and other golf equipment to a global customer base directly through its website and offers a subscription-based ball delivery service for golfers who would like to stock up on a regular basis.
