APES HILL BARBADOS AND AZALEA EXTEND LONG-TERM PARTNERSHIP

PR and marketing specialists to continue driving growth and global recognition

Apes Hill Barbados – the luxury golf and real-estate community – has reinforced its commitment to excellence by extending its partnership with leading PR and marketing specialists Azalea.

The renewed long-term agreement will see Azalea continue to spearhead international communications, further elevating Apes Hill’s global presence across key markets in the UK, Europe, and North America.

Since 2022, Azalea has played a pivotal role in showcasing Apes Hill Barbados’ evolution, from the reimagined Championship golf course designed by the late Ron Kirby to the state-of-the-art Performance Centre. The partnership has coincided with a period of unprecedented growth for Apes Hill, establishing it as one of the world’s premier golf and lifestyle destinations since being taken over by the Canadian investor Glenn Chamandy in 2019.

Under the extended partnership, Azalea will expand its responsibilities, driving engagement in the resort’s lifestyle and real estate sectors, while continuing to develop relationships with global golf tour operators.

Since launching in 2006, Azalea has established itself as one of the premier agencies in the golf, tourism, leisure and lifestyle sector, representing best-in-class global venues, such as Costa Navarino, Al Zorah Golf Club, Quinta do Lago, Trump Turnberry, Verdura and Terras da Comporta.

Sean Noble, managing director of Azalea, said: “We are delighted to solidify our long-term partnership with Apes Hill and remain part of the resort’s incredible journey. Apes Hill’s commitment to excellence and sustainability has set new benchmarks in the industry, and we look forward to continuing to share its story on a global stage.”

Cheryl Franklin, head of brand development and international marketing at Apes Hill Barbados, added: “Azalea has been an invaluable partner in communicating Apes Hill’s transformation to the world. As we continue to develop, Azalea’s expertise will be instrumental in shaping our future.”

With its championship golf course set 1,000 feet above sea level and complemented by a Performance Centre featuring cutting-edge technology, Apes Hill continues to push the boundaries of excellence. The unique ‘19th Hole’  and the upcoming launch of ‘Little Apes’ – a short par-three course designed for families – further solidify Apes Hill as one of the most exciting destinations in golf. The return of the Barbados Legends hosted by Ian Woosnam in April also provides another opportunity to showcase Apes Hill to a global audience.

The Caribbean resort is adding to its luxury real estate portfolio with the introduction of new design-led Hilltop Villas in 2025. The four-bedroom Hilltop Villas, with their contemporary single-story styles, will overlook the resort’s ‘Little Apes’ short course and the 19th Hole, with soothing westerly sea views of the turquoise Caribbean Sea.

Guests are also able to enjoy a range of other amenities such as fitness, hiking and nature trails, six flood-lit Padel and two tennis courts.

Apes Hill’s commitment to eco-friendly initiatives was instrumental in earning the ‘World’s Best Eco-Friendly Golf Facility’ in the 2024 World Golf Awards. The resort’s championship course is irrigated exclusively with recycled rainwater from a 58-million-gallon reservoir, significantly reducing its environmental footprint. Additionally, Apes Hill has received Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary certification, reflecting its dedication to sustainable golf course management.

Away from the fairways, the resort embraces a farm-to-table ethos, growing fresh produce on-site and fostering a vibrant ecosystem that supports local biodiversity while a series of immersive wellness experiences curated by OYOGO further enhance its reputation as a premier lifestyle destination.
