DISCOVER MADEIRA REAPPOINTS AZALEA FOR A SECOND TERM

Specialist PR and marketing agency Azalea will continue to encourage tourists and golfers to discover the beautiful islands of Madeira after a successful first year.

Discover Madeira, the consumer-facing brand of the Madeira Promotion Bureau, partnered with Azalea in late 2018 to help promote Madeira as a tourist destination to consumers and the travel trade in the UK and across Europe.

With a particular focus on the golf market, Azalea has been, and will now continue to, support all its PR, marketing and communication needs.

Madeira is home to three magnificent golf courses in total, with Santo da Serra and Palheiro Golf located on the mainland, and Porto Santo Golf located on the nearby island of Porto Santo.

Hailed as the ‘world’s best emerging golf destination’ at the World Golf Awards, and as Europe’s ‘leading island destination’ for the fourth successive year, as well as the world’s ‘leading island destination’ for a staggering fifth year running in the 2019 World Travel Awards, Madeira is renowned as a perfect year-round golf break destination because of its amazingly mild climate.

And with the island recently opening up for international travel again after the coronavirus lockdown, now is more important than ever to communicate with holidaymakers and golfers looking to escape for some well-needed leisure time and sunshine after months of being cooped up at home.

Azalea is a leading player in the golf and tourism industry, working with some of Europe’s major tourist boards, flagship golf clubs, luxury resorts and leading brands, with vast experience in enhancing reputation and raising brand awareness.
