Cyprus resort recognised for its extensive choice of family dining experiences with Family Food and Beverage award
Aphrodite Hills Resort has won the Family Food and Beverage category at the new Family Traveller Awards, recognising the breadth and quality of dining available to families across the five-star Cyprus resort.
The winners were announced this month, at a ceremony hosted by Family Traveller at The Swan on London’s South Bank.
Aphrodite Hills Resort offers 23 restaurants, bars and lounges across its hotel, Village Square and poolside locations, with menus and dining styles designed to suit guests of all ages.
The resort’s all-day dining includes extensive breakfast and lunch buffets, with vegan and vegetarian choices and a kids section for the buffet, making travelling with children even easier, alongside themed evening dining and restaurants serving Mediterranean, Asian and Mexican cuisine.
The Village Square provides further variety, from traditional Cypriot dishes at Pithari Tavern to Italian and Indian cuisine. Families can also visit the fairy-tale-themed Hans & Gretel for gelato, waffles, cakes and sweets, as well as Costa Coffee and Häagen-Dazs.
Takeaway and delivery services are available from selected restaurants, giving families the freedom to dine together in their accommodation or enjoy meals at their own pace.
Panagiota Hadjiperikli, Resort Marketing & Communications Manager at Aphrodite Hills Resort, said: “We are thrilled to receive this award from Family Traveller and its readers. Family holidays often bring together different ages, tastes and dietary requirements, so choice and flexibility are central to our dining offer.
“With 23 restaurants, bars and lounges across the resort, families can enjoy everything from relaxed poolside meals and international favourites to traditional Cypriot cooking and treats in the Village Square. This award is a credit to our food and beverage teams, whose care and attention help make every family meal an enjoyable part of the holiday experience.”
The new Family Traveller Awards attracted hundreds of entries across 19 categories covering hotels and villas, tour operators and travel agents, cruise lines, destinations and the wider travel industry.
An independent panel of family travel journalists reviewed the entries and selected the finalists, before thousands of votes from members of the public decided the winners and highly commended runners-up.
Aphrodite Hills Resort was also shortlisted for the Family Activities and Entertainment Award, reinforcing its position one of the Mediterranean’s most complete family destinations offering a range of sports from golf to tennis and padel, water activities and live entertainment across its estate.
Rochelle Streater, CEO of Family Traveller, said: “It’s been wonderful to bring the family travel industry together to celebrate the brands and destinations making such a difference to families’ holidays. Every one of the Awards’ winners and highly commended finalists should be proud of what they’ve achieved, and it was a real pleasure to celebrate with so many of them in person.”
